The 51st Annual St. Paul’s Chicken Barbeque at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Pleasant Valley will be held Saturday, September 17. Once again it’s held on the same weekend as Pleasant Valley Days, the town’s annual community day festival. Enjoy the celebration, held on Cady Field behind the Town Hall on Route 44, and then head to the church parish hall for supper.
The menu is barbecued chicken, baked beans, corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes, rolls and home-made desserts. Dinner is served from 4:30pm to 7pm. The cost is $12 for all adults. Children age 12 and under can dine for only $8, and those under 6 are fed for free. Take out meals are also available for $12. Reservations are not necessary; simply pay at the door.
St. Paul’s is located at 806 Traver Rd. on the corner of Traver and Route 44. Call 845-635-2854 for information. The parish hall is handicapped accessible. Parking is available across the street at Traver Road Elementary School.
