State Police in Rhinebeck BCI assisted the Town of Hyde Park Police Department with a rash of residential burglaries occurring throughout the Town of Hyde Park between November 2011 and February 22, 2012. After a two and a half month criminal investigation, the following individuals were subsequently arrested.
NYSP arrests / charges as follows;
- Donald Prusakowski – 21 year old T/Hyde Park resident arrested on March 12. Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 5th – possessed burglary proceeds from a Hyde Park home. Burglary 2nd – Burglary in T/Rhinebeck; Burglary 2nd – Burglary in T/Poughkeepsie. Arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail.
- Kevin Skelly – Three counts of CPSP 4th – Possessed burglary proceeds from Hyde Park homes. Arraigned in the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court, ROR’ed, (Release on Own Recognizance) returnable in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court at a later date.
- Ian Scheer – 18 year old T/Hyde Park resident. CPSP 5th – Possessed burglary proceeds from a Hyde Park home. CPSP 4th – Possessed burglary proceeds from a Rhinebeck home. Issued appearance tickets returnable in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Courton March 27 at 5-00pm and the Town of Hyde Park Justice Court at a later date.
- Shavita Ruparelia – 21 year old Poughkeepsie resident arrested on March 15. CPSP 5th – Possessed burglary proceeds from a Hyde Park home. Issued appearance ticket returnable in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court at a later date.
- And a 16 year old male T/Poughkeepsie resident arrested on March 6. Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd. He possessed a Colt 38 Army Revolver with the serial number defaced. Arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash / $40,000 bond.
