Milton Teen Arrested for Illegal Gun in Poughkeepsie

On Wednesday, Aug. 1, at approximately 8:20 p.m., City of Poughkeepsie Police officers were dispatched to 36 North Clover St. for a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, officers observed a subject on the fire escape of the building and ordered him to the ground. The subject complied and upon a pat search a loaded .22 caliber semiautomatic handgun was recovered from his person. He was identified as Tyreck A. Douglas, 18, of Milton, and was charged with second degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony. He was held pending arraignment.
