WANT TO SUBMIT AN AD? HERE ARE THE SPECS:
All Ads Submitted Via File on Disk or E-Mail must be
accompanied by a paper proof to ensure that your ad will
be properly represented.
PC/IBM Compatible:
Adobe InDesign CS2 (must include all linked files and typefaces)
PageMaker 6.5 or greater (must include all linked files and
typefaces)
Corel Draw 12 (must include all linked files and typefaces)
Photoshop CS2 (must include all linked files and typefaces)
Illustrator CS2 (must include all linked files and typefaces)
PDF:
PDF files must be supplied with fonts embedded. Images within
PDF must be 300 dpi. Text for PDF must be 1200 dpi. PDF files
cannot be altered by our office. If changes are necessary, client
must submit new ad.
File Formats:
GIF, JPEG, TIF – 300 DPI, 1200 DPI if text is used. (Quality of
GIF & JPEG not as good as TIF) We cannot accept files from
websites. The resolution is so low it will not print clearly.
Fonts & Graphics:
Include all fonts for text and graphic files used.
We accept the following forms of media for file submission:
CD ROM disks
100 MB or 750 MB Zip Disks for PC only
3.5 Floppy Disks for PC only
E-Mail Submissions:
Should be no larger than 3.5 megabytes in size and should be
‘zipped’ before sent. A proof must be faxed that represents how
ad should print.
Camera-Ready Artwork: must be printed with a 1200 dpi laser
printer or better – NOT an ink jet.
Photos & Artwork:
Photos or art that has been printed on an ink jet printer will not
reproduce well. It’s better to submit the actual file on CD ROM.
Graphic Files:
All color graphic files must be supplied in CMYK (not RGB),
as close to the final size as possible with a resolution of 300 dpi.
The file name must be the same as referenced in the document. If
illustrator or EPS files are supplied that include type, make sure
it is converted to outlines, and include the fonts
We cannot accept files from websites. The resolution is so low
that it will not print clearly.
Photos or art cut from previous publications or Xeroxed will not
reproduce well. For best results we need originals – yes we will
return them!
Effective Jan. 1, 2013, there will be a design fee added for all ads created by Country Courier Magazine.
